Circle of Presence and Qigong for Women

Class Description:

Nurture your body, mind and spirit and replenish your energy in a warm and nurturing setting. This class is truly a unique opportunity to rest, connect and grow. Together we will explore presence,  awareness, unconditional love and of course body movement! The foundation of our exploration will be rooted in the teachings of qigong, mindfulness and advaita (nonduality).

Our weekly two hour session begins with a grounding guided meditation. I then share a passage called the “Treasure Trove” which is a compilation of my own inspired writing as well as the sharing of trusted spiritual teachings. This is followed by the the opportunity for each participant (if desired) to share a feeling or observation and to be held by the unconditional presence of the group (click here for more information on the sharing circle portion of our gathering). Class then proceeds with an opportunity to get into the body using slow gentle movements, breathing techniques, and focused visualizations designed to release blockages and balance the overall flow of energy throughout the body. In addition to guided movements, you will have the opportunity to listen to your body and move or stretch as desired.  A brief guided closing meditation will leave you feeling both grounded and rejuvenated. Typically the meditation and sharing portion of our gathering lasts one hour and the Qigong (movement) portion lasts one hour.

Participants receive access to a the weekly “Treasure Trove” via a private blog and free and unlimited access to qigong videos and all of my online qigong classes (live via Zoom).

Small class size ensures a connected and meaningful experience. Suitable for all ages and abilities and no experience is necessary.

AUTUMN 2020 SESSION

Due to the ongoing uncertainty related to COVID-19 regulations, I am unable to offer a reliable way to for us to gather in-person on a regular basis over the autumn months. I have arrived at this decision after deliberating all my options for renting space (which are few), considered the impact of the various rules for gathering, and taken into account the risk of participants (including me) not being able to attend a class should we exhibit any symptoms.

Based on this, I have decided to continue hosting circle of presence and qigong classes on Zoom for the Autumn session. I also plan to offer two in-person classes (if it is safe to do so and if I can find suitable space). I will also be giving each participant the option to join the in-person classes via Zoom rather than in person.

CLASS SCHEDULE AND REGISTRATION FOR THE AUTUMN SESSION IS COMING SOON!
