Circle of Presence and Qigong for Women
Autumn 2020 Session
Due to the ongoing uncertainty related to COVID-19 regulations, I have decided to continue offering my classes via Zoom this fall. Since March, I have successfully hosted Circle of Presence over Zoom and I am feeling blessed to have this opportunity for us to continue gathering in a manner that is both safe and provides a way for meaningful connection.
I want to assure you that I arrived at this decision after deliberating all my options for renting space, considered the impact and limitations of adhering to the COVID-19 regulations, and taken into account the risk of participants (including me) not being able to attend a class should we exhibit any symptoms. In the end, I concluded that it simply is not possible for me to provide a reliable way to for us to gather in-person on a regular basis over the autumn months.
However, knowing how valuable it is to meet in person, it is my intention to offer two in-person classes over the course of the Autumn session (if it is safe to do so and if I can find suitable space). I will also be giving each participant the option to join the in-person classes via Zoom if this is preferred.

Class Description:
Nurture your body, mind and spirit and replenish your energy in a warm and nurturing setting. This two hour class is truly a unique opportunity to rest, connect and grow. Together we will explore presence, awareness, unconditional love and of course body movement! The foundation of our exploration will be rooted in the teachings of qigong, mindfulness and advaita (nonduality).
Each class begins with a grounding guided meditation.
I then share a passage called the “Treasure Trove” which is a compilation of my own inspired writing as well as the sharing of trusted spiritual teachings. I put a significant effort into creation of each weekly teaching and in ensuring a cohesiveness and progression of the teachings over a session of gatherings.
This is followed by the the opportunity for each participant (if desired) to share a feeling or observation and to be held by the unconditional presence of the group (click here for more information on the sharing circle portion of our gathering).
Class then proceeds with an opportunity to get into the body using slow gentle movements, breathing techniques, and focused visualizations designed to release blockages and balance the overall flow of energy throughout the body. In addition to guided movements, you will have the opportunity to listen to your body and move or stretch as desired. A brief guided closing meditation will leave you feeling both grounded and rejuvenated. Typically the meditation and sharing portion of our gathering lasts one hour and the Qigong (movement) portion lasts one hour.
Participants receive access to the weekly “Treasure Trove” via a private blog.
Small class size ensures a connected and meaningful experience. Suitable for all ages and abilities and no experience is necessary.
